New York World's Fair Anniversary, April 1964
On April 22, 1964 the New York World's Fair opened in New York; that was 60 years ago! The 1964-65 Fair showcased Technology, Culture and Foreign Pavilions. Among the most visited international exhibits were Japan, Taiwan and Belgium. Pictured here is the Unisphere which still stands as a memory of the Fair and the Golden Haze of History

North American Solar Eclipse
The Eclipse of the Sun arched over Mexico, the United States and Canada. Amazing sight but in New York City the Eclipse was not total. The New York Post newspaper offers its view of this rare astronomical event!!!

BELA BARTOK in London
The London statue of the famous 20th century Hungarian composer Bela Bartok stands nead South Kensington Station. Bartok often stayed with freinds at 7 Sydney Place in the pre war years. The statue by Hungarian sculptor Imre Varga was placed at this busy crossroads during the Magyar Magic Hungary in Focus art expo in 2004.

Iconic Paris Booksellers Get Presidential "Reprieve"
The famed Parisian Booksellers iconic kiosks along the River Seine have been saved from disruption and dislocation during the upcoming Paris Olympics 2024. The City of Paris had planned, over much opposition, to have the Book Stalls moved for security and space reasons for the Summer Olympics. French President Emmanuel Macron, overturned the arbitrary decree and thus the historic book, poster and magazine sellers, the Bouquinistes will be allowed to stay along the River during the Olympiics!! BRAVO!!
